Transitional cut diamonds come to us from the time period when diamond cutters were, quite literally transitioning, from Old Europeans to what we know as modern round brilliants. Their faceting bridges the gap between old and new - larger tables, lower crowns, and a diminishing open culet. This specific diamond is particularly stunning, and in quite a spready size, too! She’s got a much whiter face-up than her graded color, with faceting that leans slightly more towards Old Euros (which we ADORE). She’d make an excellent engagement ring, or perhaps the most magnificent pendant ever.
